Jon was born in Minot, North Dakota in 1968 and raised between Redondo Beach, California and Minot, North Dakota.

He joined the United States Marine Corps after graduating high school, which follows in the footsteps of his family dating back to the Mexican American War. He served four years as an MOS 0341 where his first duty station was Marine barracks 8th & I, Washington DC. as Presidential Honor Guard.  While stationed in D.C. he was assigned to ceremonial drill platoon, fire team leader and ceremonial drill instructor.

In 1990 Jon was deployed to Desert Shield Desert Storm and later had other deployments around the world with Second Battalion Eighth Marines (2/8 American's Battalion).  During this time, he had the privilege of saving and helping human lives which led him to his strong commitment to our veterans in need.

After serving in the Marines, Jon has had a successful career in the automotive industry. He is an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing.  Jon has been married 32 years and has three beautiful children. He has made it part of his life to give to the military community through outreach and hands on mobilization.
