NYPD 2nd Grade Detective, Retired

Tom Smith is a retired 2nd Grade Detective from the NYPD where he served in numerous units such as Bronx Narcotics, Bronx Gang Unit, 52 Pct Robbery Squad and the FBI/NYPD Joint Terrorism Task Force. While assigned to the JTTF for 17 years, Tom traveled to 18 countries around the world coordinating International Terrorism cases. Tom also was deployed to Afghanistan for 3 months running a kidnapping case which ended with the hostage being rescued. Tom was recently inducted into the National Law Enforcement Officers Hall of Fame and presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Tom is also a guest lecturer at Dominican University and is involved in their Internship program. Tom has appeared on numerous shows to give his expert opinion such as Nancy Grace, Newsmax, and The Law and Crime Network.

Tom is also the Vice President, and Chief Operations Officer at Impact Solutions that produces an alternative to pepper spray called Impact. Impact is available to Law Enforcement and the public as an option for personal security.

Tom is also the co-host of the popular podcast, Gold Shields which can be heard on every podcast platform, as well as on Youtube and Rumble.
