What if?

During one of our weekly kickoff meetings, my Operations Director, Tina Phelipot, ran through some numbers with me. One number in particular stopped me in my tracks: 22.
For all of us in the veteran space, that number means something. Most immediately think of “22 a day.”
But today, my mind went somewhere different.
What if we saved 22?
Think about that for a second.
We all know isolation can lead to depression, and depression can lead people down dark roads. But what if simply getting someone out of the house and back into a community of like-minded people changes everything? What if surrounding them with people who understand their struggles — men and women who have walked similar paths — helps save their life?
Because peer-to-peer support matters.
Being seen matters. Being heard matters. Belonging matters.
What if building the perfect daily living wheelchair or adaptive sports wheelchair gives someone purpose again? What if it gives them confidence, independence, and a reason to keep going?
I’m here to tell you — it does.
We hear the struggle in their voices. We see the pain on their faces… and on the faces of their families. We listen. We pray. And, we serve.
Not every warrior we serve is suicidal. But what if they had nowhere else to turn? What if the VA or workman's comp left them behind? What if there was no solution waiting for them?
That’s why this matters.
So today, I simply want to say THANK YOU.
Thank you for serving those who served us.
Together, we have served 22 warriors in 2026 (so far) — veterans and first responders alike.
And together, we know of 22 veterans and first responders who did NOT become a statistic.
For that, I am eternally grateful.
