Justin's Story

Justin Allen Reynolds was born and raised in Lima, Ohio. After high school, at the age of 18, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served THREE tours in Iraq. During his 3rd tour, his humvee hit an IED, which caused a brain injury and irreparable neurological damage.

He was living in a rehab nursing home in Lima, Ohio when we first met him to do an evaluation for a custom powerchair. His wheelchair was designed with an attendant drive, to give his mother the ability to take Justin out of the facility and into the sunshine, and even take him home a few times a month. Sadly, before we could deliver the new wheelchair to Justin, he unexpectedly passed away (9/13/19) from the injuries he sustained in Iraq.

Justin was a recipient of the Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendation and a Certificate of Appreciation. He touched so many lives, defied all the odds and made everyone he came into contact with better people. Justin was a true hero of our country, a friend to us and an inspiration all who met him. RIP soldier.
